TERMS OF SERVICE

These are the terms that govern your use of Built By Discipline. Read them carefully.

1. ACCEPTANCE

By registering or using Built By Discipline (the "App") you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. NOT MEDICAL OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

The App is a self-directed accountability and journaling tool. It is NOT medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, addiction-treatment, legal, financial, nutritional, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for licensed care. AI-generated guidance is provided as-is and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. Always consult qualified professionals.

3. CRISIS & SAFETY

If you are in crisis or in danger, stop using the App and contact emergency services. In the U.S., call 911 or call/text 988. The App's safety features are best-effort and are not guaranteed to detect every situation.

4. ELIGIBILITY — 18+

You must be 18 years of age or older. The App is not directed at minors. You represent and warrant that you are 18+. We may delete accounts that belong to minors.

5. SUBSCRIPTIONS & BILLING

Any subscription is sold and managed through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), according to where you installed the App. Auto-renewal continues until you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancel anytime in your store account settings, or through the in-app Manage Plan flow which deep-links there. Free trials, when offered, convert to a paid subscription at the listed price unless cancelled in time. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us.

6. ACCOUNT & USER CONTENT

You are responsible for the content you submit, including journal entries, vent text, community posts, feedback, and any data you share through AI features. Do not submit unlawful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, infringing, or harmful content. You retain ownership of your content; you grant us a limited license to process, display, and back up that content as needed to operate the App.

7. NO GUARANTEES

We make no representations or guarantees regarding outcomes, behavior change, sobriety, mental-health benefits, fitness gains, financial gains, or any other result. The App and all content are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & RELEASE

You expressly assume all risk associated with your use of the App and your own decisions and actions. You release BeyondNorth Labs, Built By Discipline, and their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and successors (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims arising from or related to your use of the App.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, the Released Parties shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, health, relationships, or opportunities — arising out of or related to the App, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory.

10. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of: (a) your use or misuse of the App; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of law; or (d) any content you submit.

11. COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

In the Discipline Circle you agree to: be respectful; not share content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, doxxing, illegal, or that promotes self-harm; not impersonate others; and not spam. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or a ban. We may remove content for any reason and without notice.

12. AI OUTPUTS

AI-generated outputs are produced by third-party models and may contain errors, omissions, or unsafe suggestions. You are solely responsible for what you do with them. Do not rely on AI outputs for medical, legal, or financial decisions.

13. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or of applicable law.

14. CHANGES

We may update the App and these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to resolve disputes individually (no class actions) and to attempt informal resolution by emailing support@beyondnorthlabs.com before any formal action.
